Who owns the address?

Modern protection systems against automated actions (parsing) and bots check IP addresses of certain companies and data centers and can distinguish addresses that ordinary users cannot have.


Ordinary proxies in most cases provide addresses belonging to data centers (data center addresses); private individuals cannot have them on computers or mobile devices.

Mobile proxies provide addresses that are used by ordinary users and this does not allow systems to detect suspicious activity during the IP verification phase.



Determining the proxy’s operating system and checking the User-Agent

Modern systems can determine the fingerprint of the operating system at the TCP / IP level. (The technology is called p0f, Passive OS fingerprint)


Most of the usual proxy servers are made on Linux and, accordingly, leave a fingerprint of Linux. At the same time when the software and the browser  connects to the site / social network or other resources usually use the User-Agent header from standard user operating systems (Android, OS X, Windows). When this difference is detected, proxies and accounts will be blocked!
